Senior Vice President, National Sales

John brings more than 20 years of experience in public and private companies in the investment and financial services sectors.  He has held senior roles in operations, corporate development, finance, sales and marketing.  John began as Vice President, Marketing, for a regional branch of a national wealth management firm, where his responsibilities included marketing program development to high net worth investors.

He then moved to the role of Executive Vice President, National Sales & Marketing, at a prominent publicly traded Canadian mining merchant bank, where he successfully branded, launched and established national distribution for their first Flow Through Limited Partnership offering.  John later became Vice President, Corporate Development, at a large private Canadian mining merchant bank with global operations.  He traveled extensively in this role raising capital for a growing portfolio of early stage companies, while building strong relationships in both the retail and institutional markets in North America and Europe.

Most recently, John was Vice President, Marketing, for a western Canadian investment fund manager and portfolio manager, where he provided category positioning, branding, new product solutions, developed institutional and retail distribution channels and identified growth opportunities.

John attended Western University’s degree program in Administrative and Commercial Studies.  He was appointed as a Vancouver-based mentor to Canada’s Top 20 Under 20™ program from 2009-2011.  John is a co-founder of Warm Night, a volunteer group that sets up large hot meal canteens on Christmas Eve serving people in need in Vancouver’s Lower Mainland.
