Senior Vice President, National Sales

John is an experienced senior executive with over 25 years working in the Investment Fund Management, Emerging Resource Co, and Financial Services industries. He is highly skilled in business development, deal origination, negotiation, and management. John began as Vice President, Marketing, for a regional branch of a national wealth management firm, where his responsibilities included developing a marketing program for high-net-worth investors.

He then moved to the role of Executive Vice President, National Sales & Marketing, at a prominent publicly traded Canadian mining merchant bank, where he successfully branded, launched, and established national distribution for their first Flow Through Limited Partnership offering. John later became Vice President, Corporate Development, at a large private Canadian mining merchant bank with global operations. He traveled extensively in this role raising capital for a growing portfolio of early-stage companies, while building strong relationships in both the retail and institutional markets in North America and Europe.

Prior to joining Capstone, John was Vice President, Marketing, for a western Canadian investment fund manager and portfolio manager with a focus on film finance, where he provided category positioning, branding, new product solutions, developed institutional and retail distribution channels and identified growth opportunities.

John studied Administrative & Commercial Studies at The University of Western Ontario.
