Senior Legal Counsel

Kit is a seasoned legal professional with over 30 years of combined experience in the financial services industry, corporate, commercial and securities law. As Senior Legal Counsel, Kit provides strategic legal advice to support Capstone's regulatory compliance requirements, investment fund business and corporate operations. Prior to joining Capstone, Kit spent 12 years as in-house legal counsel for global corporate service providers Vistra Group and TMF Group in Hong Kong. In these roles, he advised senior management on a wide range of legal matters, drafted and negotiated key service agreements, and assisted with group legal initiatives as in-house counsel. Kit also brings 13 years of experience in private legal practice in Vancouver, where he specialized in corporate finance, M&A transactions, regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters for public companies. In addition to his legal expertise, Kit has a strong finance and business background, holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance from the University of British Columbia. This allows him to bring additional perspectives covering investment securities, debt and equity funding, portfolio management, financial analysis and business management. He graduated from the University of Alberta Law School and is a current practicing member of the Law Society of British Columbia. Throughout his career, Kit has established a proven track record of success in leading complex transactions, cross-border negotiations and cross-functional projects. His excellent organizational and inter-cultural, communication and interpersonal skills make him a valued member of the Capstone team. Kit's unique combination of international experience, regulatory compliance knowledge and business acumen will be instrumental in supporting Capstone's continued growth and success in the investment fund industry and faith-based investing. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, learning about AI, e-book research and reading and of course time with his lovely family – wife Domenica and daughter Hannah.
