James Jung brings over 27 years of extensive experience in financial, investment, and risk management to his role as Senior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income at Capstone. Prior to joining Capstone, James held esteemed positions including Chief Executive Officer at LOGYX Management Solutions Inc. and Chief Shared Services Officer at Avenue Living Asset Management Ltd., where he helped manage a vast portfolio valued at nearly $6 billion across diverse asset classes in North America.

With a distinguished career trajectory, James served as the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Corporate Finance at Pinnacle Wealth Brokers, one of Canada's largest exempt market dealers. He further led as President of an investment fund company within Pinnacle Wealth Brokers, recognized with the esteemed Private Capital Market Association of Canada Portfolio Investment Award in 2018.

James also held the role of Senior Vice President, Energy/Banking at DBRS, one of the top four global credit rating agencies, where he managed an analyst team covering the North American and European energy and power sectors, along with financial institutions in Japan and Australia.

James holds multiple professional designations including Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Manager, and Chartered Professional Accountant. He earned his Honors Business Administration degree from Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Beyond his professional endeavors, James finds fulfillment in spending quality time with his wife and son, enjoying skiing, hiking, and sharing his wealth of knowledge by teaching Corporate Finance at the University of Toronto for nearly two decades.
